Oliver's Eyes

Oliver now has many different eyes.  It usually goes like this, "Look at my eyes…"   These are his happy eyes

Sleepy eyes

Awake eyes

Excited eyes

Angry eyes

He often talks about how he needs to go to work and be a doctor.  One day he found my hospital badge and said, "when I grow up I want to be just like you daddy"  Dorothy made him this little hospital badge and he loves it so much.  Apparently he is an attending already.

Newt belly is completely mobile now.  He is crawling all over the place, pulling himself up to stand and cruising.

Oliver was so excited when the tow truck came to take Evan's car away.

This is how we often times find Newt Belly.  He is such a happy baby and no matter what is always smiling and laughing.

On our way to visit Portland we stopped at Cabellas for a break.  Oliver found the Sturgeon in the aquarium.

The children's museum had a whole room dedicated to digging and dump trucks.  Needless to say, we stayed there for along time.

We went to Mt. Hood to go snow tubing.  Oliver was super excited.  These are his snow tubing eyes.  This is probably the last time we were going to see snow before going to Guam.

Christmas 2013

Newt belly, dressed in his newt shirt.

Oliver made those cookies for Santa and gave him some milk.

The only thing that Oliver wanted for Christmas this year was a top loading garbage truck.   I ask him every morning what he dreamed about and for months leading up to Christmas he was dreaming about top loading garbage trucks.  Now it is side loading garbage trucks.

This is Oliver's jar of change that he has been saving and saving for months.  He gets a piece when he is a good boy and is planning to get a side loader garbage truck.

Oliver and Ewan Get a Christmas Tree

Oliver frequently reads in his bed after we read to him, and then falls asleep.   This one is his astronaut book, last post was his meow book.

Ewan recently started eating rice cereal.  He is a tank and is already trying to bust out of the Bumbo.

I got these plastic battery organizers called Powerpax.  I really like them, and Oliver fell in love with them.  He gets to hold onto one at a time, and frequently comes to me asking to trade in his Powerpax for a different style.  He also now has a location in his dresser drawer where he keeps his special things and hides them from us, which is where his Powerpax always go.

Oliver has really started playing with Ewan.  He shows him all of his toys, and how to play with them.  It is very cute.

This is me post call after being up for 30+ hours.  I fell right asleep, but Oliver wanted to play.  This is him "sharing" his pepperoni with me.  I found out later when Dorothy showed me the pictures.

This year we got a state forest permit to hike into the woods and get our own Christmas tree.  Oliver was so excited to carry the saw and more excited about cutting anything he saw along the way.
