Oliver's Chemical Rocket

Oliver loves to make his own pizza

Sometimes after we read him his bedtime story he wants to keep reading about cats until he falls asleep.

Three meows

Oliver discovered raking leaves for the first time

He creates all kinds of stuff during craft time.  Doro helped him make a cardboard rocket, which quickly then had multiple flashlights jammed into the other end of the boosters.

Oliver said he wanted to be a fireman this year and Doro found this great costume

He really likes Legos now and has a few truck sets.  He wanted to make a big rig so we built this one from his pieces.  He was so excited for a day or two until he destroyed it.

We went to a hobby store and got him a chemical rocket that was supposed to work on vinegar and baking soda.  It almost blasted my eyes out after deciding that it needed more pressure, which prompted the glasses.  Needless to say, he is a budding chemist.

Oliver's Playdoh Guy and Ewan's First Trip

Dorothy found this playdoh face kit and while we were making dinner he announces, "look at my playdoh guy"

Covert Newt

Somebody brought these blocks for kids to play with and it was a huge hit.  Oliver was super  excited about building towers and more excited about destroying then after.

We went on a work retreat recently on a nearby island.  One of the guys that came brought a cheap foam flying toy and he was surrounded by all of the kids then entire time.  He would launch it and then it would be followed by a whole hoard of running kids.  This picture is Oliver holding it and getting ready to throw.

A bicycle for him was the best thing we ever did.  Now we can go on walks and he can ride on the trails.  He loves it.

At the retreat Oliver met this little girl and was trying to get her attention for most of the time.

This was Ewan's first trip out.  We got him in his little swim trunks and took him into the hotel pool.  The water was pretty cool, but he had fun and Oliver was in heaven.

We went and stayed a night at a little town north of Seattle and happened to be there the weekend of the fall festival.  One of the events was a squash car race.  Oliver picked out the squash body and pumpkin tires and a propeller for good measure.  We assembled it and then he got to race it down the track.  He was SO excited about it.

This is a park called deception pass.  When we went over the bridge it was pouring outside, but Oliver  still wanted to get out and look.

Lowes day.  He is putting together a little plane.

The only thing that he wanted to do at the beach was pick up drift wood and pitch it into the water.

I was down stairs doing some work when I heard Oliver say, "look daddy I'm exercising"  I looked over and he was doing the elliptical.
